Position
As Finance Operations Excellence Manager you will have an impactful position within Cerba Research, with the ability to drive various development and improvement processes. The Finance Operations Excellence Manager is crucial in linking finance with business operations, making sure that financial policies and procedures align with company goals and enhance operational efficiency.
The Finance Operations Excellence Manager will be focused on reviewing, improving, redesigning existing processes and creating new ones insofar applicable. In its transversal role, the goal is to ensure that finance and businesses processes are seamlessly integrated and performed in an efficient and cost-effective way.
The Finance Operations Excellence Manager reports to the Executive Director Business Control. He/ she will work closely with, amongst others, (heads of) Global Project Management (GPM), Contracts & Proposals (C&P) and Finance Teams. External relationships are mainly with partner labs.
About you
The Finance Operations Excellence Manager brings a smart and ambitious personality, who understands the business and can bridge the worlds of finance & operations. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to talk both finance and operational languages. He/ she has a structured and methodological approach to solving complex issues.
It’s nice if the new Finance Operations Excellence Manager has experience with and knowledge of central- and specialty-labs operations, including procurement, pricing, logistics, lab selection and operations. Previous experience with operational finance in a laboratory and/or supply chain environment could be helpful. Especially if you understand key drivers for profitability by activity.
Your background
- A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related study;
- > 7+ years of working experience in similar role(s);
- Strong (data) analytical skills (e.g. for benchmarking purposes), being structured and accurate;
- Excellent MS Excel, BI-tooling and data analysis skills;
- Strong work ethics and high integrity standards. You have the courage to voice issues when you see them;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships, while being sensitive to cultural and personal differences. You’re fluent in business English, with Dutch and/or French being a nice to have;
- Ability to work in a fast-growing and fast-paced matrix environment;
- Ability to develop and manage an own team, with a focus on designing a scalable team and the ability to inspire and develop this ‘to build’ team.
