Position

As part of pladis’ strategic sustainability roadmap, Europe and Emerging Markets region (EEM) is looking to grow the team with a Regional Sustainability Lead. This person is responsible for owning and leading each region's sustainability roadmaps, communications and reporting, whilst ensuring it is correctly and timely shared with the global team. 

 

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Collating, maintaining and managing regional data (and sharing with the global team).
  • Influencing and delivering the regional roadmap with senior stakeholders and the global team.
  • Growing and developing regional strategies on other areas within sustainability such as waste, sourcing and water.
  • Working with regional and global stakeholders to understand reporting obligations.
  • Ensuring the right messages and facts are shared for both internal and external communications.
  • Working alongside our global partners to maintain a steady rhythm in communications and updates shared.
  • Ensuring the sustainability lens is built into all regional capex, sourcing and other decisions.
  • Working closely with Regulatory team to map the regulation landscape and communicate clearly any implications to regional & functional leaders in good time.
  • Establish suitable gatekeeping measures within the region to ensure sustainability ambition and roadmap is included as primary consideration in all major business decision-making (launches, CapEx investment, manufacturing, etc).
  • Work with regional GMs and customers to understand external stakeholder priorities and subsequently include these as a consideration in our roadmap.

Profile

  • Minimum 6 years working experience within the sustainability field, ideally within manufacturing industry and/or consulting;
  • Up to speed with the CSRD regulatory framework the latest developments;
  • Strong analytical, reporting and PM skills;
  • Demonstrable experience with managing global stakeholders;
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator;
  • Positive and resilient mindset.
