Position
The Financial Controller is responsible for managing all (day to day) financial activities of the entities with the assigned jurisdiction, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk & compliance. You’ll also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implements solutions to streamline financial operations. This is a critical role in helping strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial reports, analysis and forecasts.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Financial Control role aligns with the following criteria:
- HBO or WO education level;
- 3 – 7 years of relevant experience;
- Fluency in working English is mandatory, additional European language is beneficial, but not a prerequisite;
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial principles, including accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis;
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills to identify areas for process improvements, implement solutions, and streamline financial operations for efficiency and effectiveness;
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail in managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulations;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing financial regulations, industry trends, and business requirements, while maintaining focus on driving overall financial performance and supporting organizational growth;
- Communicates financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including preparing comprehensive financial statements, reports, and presentations;
- Private equity experience is a pre.
