On behalf of a rapidly growing international company operating within the renewable energy sector, we are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Our client is an international trading and services company operating at the intersection of technology, supply chain management, and the global energy transition.
With approximately 75 employees across Europe, North America, and Asia, the organization combines deep industry expertise with an agile, entrepreneurial culture. The business is characterized by:

Following recent investment and increased international expansion, the company is focused on strengthening its financial infrastructure, operational controls, management information, and organizational scalability.
Position
As CFO, you will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, reporting to the Board and working closely with the company's shareholders.
You will be responsible for transforming strong commercial growth into a controlled, scalable, and increasingly professional international organization. The position combines strategic leadership with operational involvement and requires an executive who can balance long-term value creation with hands-on execution.
You will lead the international finance organization and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board, shareholders, and senior leadership team.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the company and translate growth ambitions into financial and operational priorities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the international finance team.
- Foster effective collaboration between finance, commercial teams, operations, and international business units.
- Provide transparent, fact-based leadership and ensure timely escalation of opportunities and risks.
Finance Strategy & Business Control
- Develop high-quality, forward-looking financial, commercial, and operational reporting.
- Build and strengthen the planning and control framework, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, cash flow management, and performance reviews.
- Deliver insightful management information that supports strategic decision-making.
- Own board reporting and shareholder reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
Accounting, Governance & Compliance
- Take overall responsibility for accounting, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
- Further professionalize internal controls, policies, and governance structures.
- Lead external audit processes and ensure compliance across international operations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisors, legal partners, and other external stakeholders.
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
- Drive ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives.
- Standardize processes across international entities while respecting local requirements.
- Enhance data quality, reporting capabilities, and operational visibility.
- Establish reliable, scalable management information and performance dashboards.
M&A, Integration & Value Creation
- Play an active role in acquisition strategy, due diligence, transaction execution, and financing activities.
- Support post-merger integration and the alignment of systems, processes, and reporting structures.
- Contribute to long-term value creation initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and future financing activities.
Profile
Experience & Background
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as RA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance executive in an international environment.
• Experience within a private equity-backed company is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in scaling finance organizations in high-growth businesses.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process optimization, and finance transformation.
• Proven M&A and post-acquisition integration experience.
• Strong understanding of governance, performance management, and shareholder reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
