DIF Capital Partners (“DIF”) is a leading global infrastructure-focused private equity firm (top-5 Europe, top-15 globally) headquartered in Schiphol, the Netherlands. DIF currently has more than EUR 17 billion assets under management across nine funds, which it manages on behalf of institutional investors from across the globe. These funds are globally invested in high-quality infrastructure projects and businesses especially within energy transition, renewable energy and digital infrastructure, in Europe, the Americas and Australia. The DIF team across 12 offices worldwide consists of more than 240 professionals working in a variety of disciplines, mainly investments, finance / accounting and business development. DIF’s Amsterdam office has ca. 100 employees and is located in the WTC at Schiphol. In September 2023, CVC Capital Partners, a leading global private markets manager, announced that it would be acquiring a majority stake in DIF Capital Partners.
Position
DIF is looking to strengthen the team with a Business Manager to the Board role, which will be a newly-created role to centralize all business management activities of the firm. In your business management role you will mainly be responsible for supporting both DIF’s Board (Executive Committee, and in particular the CEO and CIO) and the Investor Relations (IR) team in more strategic, commercial and communication related topics. You will form part of the IR team, be based at the DIF headquarters (Schiphol), and be reporting to DIF’s IR Co-Heads.
You will also play a key role in streamlining how DIF, the Board and the IR team work together with CVC. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks and activities, with the primary target to further grow the scale and scope of DIF.
The Business Manager will amongst others:
- Be a trusted advisor to ExCo and IR and serve as a sounding board for DIF’s leadership team;
- Be an ambassador of DIF internally and externally;
- Manage ad hoc projects of high strategic importance;
- Coordinate the delivery of key content for external ExCo meetings and internal presentations by ExCo to the DIF/CVC team, ensuring messaging is aligned to business strategy and current issues and opportunities faced by the business;
- Support with developing (the strategy for) potential new products alongside the strategic growth department; and
- Support with general IR activities, including drafting of marketing materials, onboarding of investors, organising (quarterly and yearly) investor events.
Profile

The ideal professional must have:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience, preferably in investment management / private equity / corporate (strategy) / corporate development / (strategy) consultancy;
- Proven stakeholder engagement experience, ideally experience of working with C-Suite executives;
- Expert report and presentation writing skills, clearly identifying specific audience requirements;
- Service mentality and can be trusted with confidential information;
- Excellent, proven project management skills;
- Fluency in English and preferably Dutch and one other language.
- Proactive, action-oriented, delivery-focused mindset;
- Able to see the big picture (helicopter view) as well as to go into the detail;
- A team player, but also capable to operate independently and have a getting things done mentality.
