Positie

As the current HR Director is moving towards a Business Director role, Lely is now seeking an experienced HR Director to elevate HR to the next level, develop a long-term HR strategy in line with the business goals and enhance international HR business partnering. You will also be strategic sparring partner to Senior Management, Director group and Executive Board on people strategy and tactical issues. In this impactful role, you will lead the HR in people services, payroll, compensation & benefits, project management, HR business partnering, the Lely Academy, and talent acquisition.

You are a driven, enthusiastic, inspiring and connecting people leader with a ‘can do’ mentality who is ready for a challenge. You are pro-active and strongly driven to building HR within an innovative, entrepreneurial environment with a growth mindset. You are professionally seasoned, have a strong and modern view on people and able to easily switch between strategic and operational level. You are someone who has the patience to get people on board but also hold a strong ambition to move forward. 

 

Moreover you have the following qualifications and skills: 


  • Academic thinking- and working level with an extensive experience in a senior People role. Preferably gained experience in a complex and technical environment with a strong drive for innovation.
  • Experience in an international setting is preferred and some experience of working in a large family company would be a welcomed addition.
  • You have the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and to changing conditions and priorities. 
  • Broad but also deep knowledge and expertise in the people related areas relevant for Lely such as organizational design, leadership development, talent management, learning & development, talent acquisition, succession planning, D&I, HR analytics, HR operations/SSC, HR systems, rewards, CLA and HR business partnering and deep knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Experience with Culture Amp tool is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing an HR strategy in line with the business goals.
  • You have affiliation with the agricultural sector and or robotics.
  • Strong leadership qualities in professionalizing HR, engaging and building strong and senior HR teams and guiding them to reach their full potential based. You are an example in secure based leadership.
  • Have business acumen and able to take initiative and ownership.
  • A robust sparring partner and dares to challenge the status quo with an eye for the relationship. Able to say no if necessary.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and able to work independently. Have a empathic personality and a positive attitude who brings out the best in colleagues and be a person of integrity.
  • You feel comfortable working in a family business where people work together and help each other out and able to identify yourself with the cultural values of Lely: can-do mentality, enthusiastic, passion, open, honesty, respectful, innovative, creative, flexible, people-minded, ambitious and involved.
  •  Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
  • Able to be present at the office at least 3/4 days a week in Maassluis and willingness to travel abroad occasionally.
  • Available from January 2025.
